About Crusader Youth Camp

Crusader Youth Camp was founded in 1948 through the efforts of Mrs. Myrtle Holder, who saw the need for a place where youth could experience God. For over fifty years, Crusader Youth Camp has ministered not only to youth, but to adults as well. Owned by the Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, the camp is primarily known for its eight week summer camping season, but ministers to individuals, organizations, and churches throughout the year. We like to say that Crusader Youth Camp is a place where you can have fun, make lifelong friends, and most importantly of all experience God. Our philosophy is to glorify God in every activity by assisting individuals, organizations, and churches in presenting the Word of God to the needs of individuals through dedicated and committed staff within the environment of Christian camping.

The objectives of Crusader Youth Camp are:

  • Evangelism – Crusader Youth Camp strives to present a testimony of God’s saving grace to every person. The camp teaches that Christ is the center of all the Christian does and that Christ is “the way, the truth, and the life.”
  • Edification – Crusader Youth Camp is devoted to minister to the needs of people and to serve people as effectively as possible. The programs of the camp are designed to meet the physical, mental/emotional and spiritual needs.
  • Empowerment – Crusader Youth Camp provides experiences for each camper to become knowledgeable, skillful, and effective servants of God. Our goal is to complement the ministry of the local church by assisting them in their ministry by providing a unique camping opportunity and facilities through which the local church is able to serve its members.
  • Encouragement – Crusader Youth Camp is an encouraging place! Each year thousands of individuals attend an event at the camp and leave with a renewed vision to glorify God and enjoy a personal relationship with him. Crusader Youth Camp exists to help individuals reach those goals through its message, teaching, and facilities.

Our facilities will accommodate up to 150 at the present time. Recreational activities during the camping season include basketball, soccer, volleyball, archery, riflery, horses, ping pong, foosball, and swimming. There are also special event days and other group recreational activities. Campers attend worship services each night with anointed speakers and music provided by our outstanding praise and worship team. Our counselors and staff at CYC are the best! Each comes with a desire to minister to campers. If you’re looking for a place to have fun, make lifelong friends, and experience God, Crusader Youth Camp is the place for you!
