During his life on earth, Jesus held children very close to His heart, and we as a denomination do so as well. We encourage our churches to design their Children’s Ministry in such a way that children can learn at their own level and pace. Our hope is that they will make disciples by creating a fun, loving, and interactive environment where children are encouraged to connect with God, grow in Christ, and serve others. We encourage our churches to use curriculum that is age-appropriate and Bible-based. It is our desire that your child’s biblical adventure lays a foundation for a lifetime of living for Christ and that your child can be a part of an exciting and active environment filled with songs, games, and lovable characters that teach Godly values. Our Philosophy for Children’s Ministry is that we see Children’s Ministries as a partnership with you in the training of your children. We recognize that out of all the responsibilities a parent has in raising their child there is not one that overshadows the responsibility of developing a child’s spiritual life. We believe that church and home need to work together in today’s world for this to happen. We encourage our churches to develop programs which are designed to sharpen Bible skills, apply biblical truths, develop relationships, and promote healthy attitudes toward ourselves, others and God.
