Rev. Benjamin Nakuku
Benjamin Nakuku has served as National Director of PFWB Kenya since 2013. He was born and raised in the rural side of western Kenya in Kakamega North Sub-County. He received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior when he was in the 10th grade. After high school he felt the call of God into ministry, he attend Bible College and then full time ministry.
In 2003 Benjamin was invited to visit Heritage Bible College in Dunn, North Carolina, as a visiting Bible College President from Western Bible College in Kakamega Kenya. Things changed for he when he was offered a full scholarship to come and study at Heritage Bible College. After a year of study, his wife and our 3 year old daughter joined him. After the birth of his second daughter, the thought that America would be his new home. In 2006 he graduated from Heritage and transitioned to Campbell University Divinity School to pursue a Master of Divinity.
During Benjamins last semester, God started talking to him about going back to Kenya. After graduation in June of 2010 he moved his family back to Kenya. Life became hard but eventually God sent his family to a small rural town known as Malava where he planted Shalom Gospel Church in March 2011.
In 2013 Benjamin joined the PFWB with 5 churches. Today that has grown into more than 30 churches and 42 ministers of the gospel. He has also started two Christian Academies schools, an orphanage facility that helps over 83 orphaned children, and a Bible School where pastors and evangelists are trained. He thanks God for the role that he serves as the National Director of PFWB Kenya and a regional coordinator to Africa.
Benjamin is married to Christine and together they have three beautiful children. He said that God has been so good to him and his family and that they are forever thankful to God for the opportunity to serve Him.
His vision is to evangelize Kenya with the gospel of Jesus Christ, to plant churches and help those congregations grow the PFWB into a powerful church denomination in Kenya.
Benjamin asks that we pray for his family's health, that God will provide education to his children, and that he and Christine can raise God fearing children. Pray for Kenya as they are experiencing a tough economic time, with food shortages and rising cost of living.
