Winter Camping fun is on the horizon! \nDate: February 3-5\, 2023 \nLocation: Pipestem State Park\, Pipestem\, West Virginia \nCost: Each outpost is to plan their own expenses regarding the camping fee\, food\, gas and firewood.\nCampground Fee: Each outpost will pay their own campground fee of $44.99 per/night/site up to 6 people\, $3.00/person over 6 and a maximum of 10 people per site. All sites now have water and electricity. \nFood: Each outpost will be responsible for their own meals. A 20×30 canopy will be set up for cooking and eating. Please bring enough camp chairs for your outpost. If you have a fold-up table\, that would be very helpful. \nPermission Forms: Each outpost will need to provide their own medial and parent permission. Please have it while you are traveling and while you are at Pipestream State Park. \nPatches: Patches are being ordered; approximately $3.00 each. Patches from previous events will be $1.00 each. \nFirewood: We are trying to get a pickup load\, with cost split by outpost. If this is not available as a pickup load\, then firewood is available for sale at the campground at $6/bundle. All firewood used in the State Park in WV must be local to Pipestream State Park in West Virginia. \nSled Race: Be sure and plan for you outpost to compete in our Homemade Sled Race. Each Outpost must build their own sled. \nSwimming: The heated indoor pool at the lodge is $4.00 per person\, cash payment to the person at the swimming pool. It is best for the leader to collect all the monies and turn the amount in for the group. \nNature Center: Expected to be open! \nOptional: Fishing! You must purchase the WV fishing license at $3.00/day\, $13.00 for a conservation stamp and an extra $16.00 for a Trout stamp if you want to fish for Trout only. DESCRIPTION:We are living in unprecedented and unparalleled times. I truly believe that we are witnessing the unfolding of the last days just before the end times. The enemy of our soul\, Satan himself\, has ramped up his attack against the church and against the people of God with frightening tactics at a feverish pace. \nMake no mistake\, all that we are witnessing these days; the pandemic\, the violence\, rebellion\, and lawlessness\, the wars and rumors of more wars…these are all the signs that we are living in what Scripture calls “the last days”\, the days just before the “end times”. And make no mistake\, behind all of this is the devil and his demons. \nIn recent days\, I have been reminded of the time when a man brought his demon possessed son to Jesus for deliverance. He had brought the boy to the disciples\, but they were not able to help him. After Jesus cast the demon out of the boy\, the disciples came to Jesus asking why it was that they were unable to help the boy. Jesus responded in Matthew 17:21 with these words: “But this kind does not go out\, except by prayer and fasting.” \nI believe what we are dealing with right now is “this kind”\, the kind that will only be handled with prayer and fasting. That is why I am calling on all who will\, to join me at the beginning of the New Year for twenty one days of prayer and fasting. Three questions: \nFirst question\, why fasting? Why not just pray? Here’s several reasons. We fast because fasting draws us closer to God. It’s a form of self denial\, of saying to the Lord\, “I want you more than the very food that sustains me.” And we fast because fasting gets God’s attention\, it moves God to action like nothing else. \nSecond question\, why twenty-one days? Christians and Christian organizations often engage in twenty one days of prayer and fasting at the beginning of a New Year because of the example set by Daniel in the Old Testament. In Daniel chapter ten we read that he fasted and prayed for three weeks\, twenty one days\, eating only certain foods. And so\, at the beginning of the year\, many Christians set aside twenty one days to fast and pray. Some have even suggested that any practice\, faithfully followed for twenty one days\, becomes a habit. And fasting and prayer would certainly be a good habit for all of us to develop moving forward! \nThird question\, why now? Because now more than ever\, we are facing “this kind”\, the kind that does not go out except by prayer and fasting. Like never before in our lifetime\, the church is under attack. Our religious freedoms are in jeopardy. If the Lord tarries the rapture of His church\, we could very possibly find churches that do not bow to the woke agendas and the perverted LGBTQ agenda of our time losing more and more of our privileges and freedoms. Now more than ever\, we find ourselves face to face with “this kind”. And so\, we fast and we pray. \nJoin me on Saturday\, January 7th for a morning of prayer to kick off the New Year. DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, January 7\, 2023\n9:00am to 12:00pm \nPFWB Ministry Campus\nDunn\, NC \nI don’t recall a time when the church was more in need of revival. The Psalmist asked the question; “Will You not revive us again\, so that Your people may rejoice in You?” (Psalms‬ ‭85‬:‭6‬)\, and the answer is\, yes\, He will. If we will pray\, then He will send revival. \nAs we approach a New Year we are going to be praying for revival in the church\, which will result in repentance in the land\, repentance in the communities where our churches serve. We are going to be asking God to “revive us again”. \nOn Saturday\, January 7\, 2023 I am inviting all PFWB ministers to join me for a morning of prayer as we kick off the New Year. This is a free event. We will meet on our Ministry Campus in Dunn from 9:00 – 12:00 noon. This morning of prayer will be the start of our 21 days of prayer & fasting January 8-29.
