DESCRIPTION:October 3\, 2026 \nLocation: Pathway PFWB Church\n275 N. NC Hwy 41\, Beulaville\, NC 28518 \nRegistration opens at 8:30am with racing to follow \nCost: $10.00 per person\n(Includes CO2 Cartridges and Lunch) \n REGISTER BELOW  \n\n RULES  \nOVERVIEW \nParticipants design\, produce a working drawing for\, and build a CO2-powered dragster according to stated specifications and using only certain materials. Cars can be purchased through https://www.whiteboxlearning.com/products/item/WDR-DK4 each kit is $4.45 and needs to be BASSWOOD (Do not use BALSA) \nCO2 tanks can be purchased through White box learning (only purchase 8 gram tanks) (https://www.whiteboxlearning.com/products/item/WDR-CO1) they cost $0.65 ea. unless you buy more than ten then the price changes. \n  \nELIGIBILITY \nParticipants are limited to one (1) entry per individual. \n  \nPROCEDURE \n\nParticipants check in their entries upon arrival.\nEntries are reviewed by evaluators to determine\, among other things\, safety on the track and specifications.\nEach Car will be given a number for tracking purposes.\nIt is essential that Rangers and Leaders routinely check the Cars for safety.\n\n  \nREGULATIONS \nDragsters that do not meet the below Specifications/Tolerances are disqualified from the race. \n  \nDragster body \n\nAll Cars must be all-wood construction; any type of lamination that isn’t attached by glue or other secure means will result in disqualification.\nCars are allowed to be painted and have decals on them.\n\n  \nMINIMUM – MAXIMUM \n\nBody length………. 241.3mm (9.500in)……….304.8mm (12in)\nBody height with wheels……….81.3mm (3.200in)\nBody width can’t exceed (this is including all laminations and wheels)……….101.6mm (4.00in)\n\n  \nAxles/axle holes/wheelbase \n\nDragsters must have two (2) axles per car\, no more.\nBottom of axle hole or bearing above bottom of car body.\n(NOTE: This will be measured at the sides of the wood car body\, from the bottom of the car directly beneath the axle to the bottom of the axle hole or bearing hole.)\nBearings\, bushings and lubricants may be used.\nGlue may be used to secure bearings to body.\n\n  \nScrew eyes \n\nDragsters must have two (2) screw eyes (no more) per car that meet tolerances. Screw eyes must not make contact with the racing surface. The track string must pass through both screw eyelets\, which are located on the center line of the bottom of the car. Glue may be used to reinforce the screw eyes. It is the responsibility of the car designer/ engineer to see that the screw eye holes are tightly closed to prevent the track string from slipping out. As with all adjustments\, this must be done prior to event check-in.\n\n  \nWheels \n\nA dragster must have four (4) wheels\n\n Only raceable cars\, as determined by the evaluators\, are allowed to compete in the semifinalist category. Cars that are damaged or broken during the qualifying round are deemed non‑raceable and are not allowed to run in a semifinalist position. DESCRIPTION:July 18\, 2026\n9:00am\nCabin Lake\, 220 Cabin Lake Road\, Pink Hill\, NC 28572 \n\n\n\n\nThis event is for anyone that would like to build a boat & race\, or just to watch.\nThat’s boys\, girls\, men and women of all ages. (ages 5 and up please) \nRegistration will begin at 9:00 am at the table near the bath house at the beach. \nThe cost is $10.00 per person and must be paid at the registration table the day of the event.\nThis price includes registration fee\, entry fee to the park for the day and lunch (that will be served after the race).\nRacers will receive a patch. \nHere are the rules: \n\n1) Boats must be built using only cardboard and duct tape.  Paint is ok.\n2) 2 persons per boat\n3) Any kind of paddle is ok\n4) All boaters must wear an approved personal floatation device. \nThat’s it!\n\n REGISTER BELOW
