It is camp meeting time again! The General Board of Directors and I welcome you to the 2010 Annual PFWB Camp Meeting and Bi-Annual General Conference.
The Spirit of Camp Meeting is a great and glorious experience for each of us. It is the spirt of fellowship, worship and spiritual growth. History has been good to the PFWB Church in providing some of the best speakers, choirs, singers, and congregations. No one wants to miss this great time of worship and fellowship.
This year our guest speaker is Rev. Bob Ely. Brother Ely is no stranger to us. He will be sharing Gods word with us the entire week of camp meeting. Brother Ely is in demand for Youth Retreats, Camp Meetings, and Marriage Seminars. We look forward to having him and Edith with us.
Rev. Bob Ely served as President of Southwestern Christian University in Oklahoma City from June 6th, 1998 through June 30th, 2009. Before serving at SCU, he was a general evangelist of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church for twelve and a half years, traveling across the United States approximately thirty to forty weeks per year conducting local church revivals and speaking at camp meetings and Bible conferences.
Rev. Bob Ely has served in several official positions in the Pentecostal Holiness Church, including member of the General Board of Administration, member of the General Executive Board, Conference Superintendent of the West Oklahoma Conference, Conference Christian Education Director, Member of the General Evangelism USA Board, President of the National Association of Pentecostal Holiness Evangelists, and as a local church pastor in Apache, Oklahoma and Norman, Oklahoma.
Rev. Ely and his wife, Edith, reside in Oklahoma City, OK. They have two children: Stephen Todd Ely and Stephanie Dawn Brochette. They have five grand children: Jessica Michelle Burchette, Jennifer Nicole Burchette, Jayden Ashley Burchette, Talmadge Dalton Ely, and Devin Tate Ely.
There will be a nursery provided for infants - 4 years, and a kids camp meeting for kids ages 5-10.
The time that we devote to the 2010 Camp Meeting will bless us and our churches as we worship and celebrate together. We look forward to seeing you at Camp Meeting. God bless each one of you.

PFWB Dunn Camp Meeting History -Excerpt from The Messenger, Nov/Dec 2009 Issue
We trace our first Camp Meeting back into the 1930s at the Watha Camp Grounds near Wallace, NC. Three men, J. Richard Parker, Arby Carter (Dr. Herbert Carter’s father), and Alfred Sivie Blanton (Myrtle Holder’s father) led the way in purchasing property in the Watha area (across from the Watha Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church) for the purpose of annual Camp Meeting services. The property was used as a campground for the youth and Camp Meeting for many years. There remain until this day many across our denomination that can trace their spiritual birth and special calling into ministry to those grounds. It will always be a place with special memories for a generation of PFWB people.
In 1961 we had our first Dunn Camp Meeting in a small auditorium that today is used as the chapel of Heritage Bible College. For the next three years Camp Meeting was continued in the small auditorium of Heritage House. At the same time the Watha Camp Meeting was maintained for several years. In 1964 the Dunn Camp Meeting was moved from the small auditorium to our current Tabernacle. The Tabernacle was not the completed building we see today. It is much more comfortable today than in those early years. It is difficult to imagine the dreams, labor, and effort it has taken to develop and promote an annual Camp Meeting. God has favored us many times with His blessings and, as needed, miracles to make sure our people have a Camp Meeting. We have experienced some of the best and greatest Camp Meetings with some of the greatest ministers in the world. Many from our generation can testify to having special spiritual encounters with God that changed them for the rest of their lives as a result of Camp Meetings.
The spirit of camp Meeting was a great and glorious experience for each of us. It was the spirit of fellowship, worship and spiritual growth. History has been good to the Pentecostal Free will Baptist Church in providing some of the best speakers, choirs, singers and congregations.
This year marked the 50th Anniversary of our wonderful denomination. Our speakers this year blessed and uplifted us during this wonderful time of Camp Meeting and the celebration of our 50th Anniversary.
We were blessed as we begin the 2009 Camp Meeting with the Ordination and Licensing Service on the opening Sunday night with Rev. Wesley Hamilton delivering the message following the Ordination Service. Our other speakers were Dr. Don Sauls, Rev. Roland Penny, Dr. Herbert Carter, Dr. John Sauls, Evangelist Tyler Jernigan, Rev. Juan Velazquez, and General superintendent Preston Heath.
In addition to the evening Camp Meeting worship, there was a Memorial Service and a Ministers Years of Service Plaque Presentation Ceremony.

Camp Meeting 2007 was a great success! The Spirit of camp meeting is a great and glorious experience for each of us. It is the spirit of fellowship, worship, and spiritual growth. History has been good to the Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church in providing some of the best speakers, choirs, singers and congregations. All the efforts are merited in organizing these services just to see the laughter, fun and seriousness during this week. No one wants to miss this great time of worship and fellowship.
We were blessed at the 2007 Camp Meeting with the Ordination Service on the opening Sunday night. Dr. Elvin Butts delivered the message on Sunday night following the Ordination Service. On Monday night, Rev. Jim Wall was our speaker and on Tuesday night, Bishop Ronald Wilson was our speaker. Bishop Billy Wilson was the speaker from Wednesday through Sunday. He is with the Church of God of Prophecy in Tennessee. Brother Wilson was one of our guest speakers during the 2006-2007 Azusa Street East Centennial Celebration. His messages were powerful and moved our people. It is with great joy that we welcomed him to our Camp Meeting this year.
In addition to the evening Camp Meeting worship, there was a Ministers Years of Service Plaque Presentation Ceremony on Tuesday night and a Memorial Service on Thursday night. On the ending Sunday night, we had an installation service for the new HBC President, Dr. Elvin Butts.
A nursery was provided for children, ages infant-4 years, and a Kids Camp Meeting for kids, ages 5-10 years.

2004 Dunn, NC CAMPMEETING
Held: July 25 – August 1, 2004
Camp Meeting 2004 was a special blessing. Our worship, praise, preaching, and altar time was a blessing to all who attended. At the General Conference we recognized the top five mission giving churches, the church with the highest per capita giving, and the church with the greatest giving increase. We are thankful for every Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church for their giving to the World Witness ministries. Your faithfulness makes the difference on our foreign fields.
